Congratulations to Tommy Long Cohen '23 who officially became an Eagle Scout, August 25, 2021, a young man for and with others. He completed his Eagle Scout project for Immigration Services, Catholic Charities D.C., for which he provided much needed care packages of personal supplies for immigrant families. For his Eagle Scout project, he personally collected $3,000 worth of requested personal and school supplies, accompanied with a personal greeting letter in each pack written by Tommy or others from his troop. These care packs were distributed by Catholic Charities D.C. to immigrant families around the Washington area.
Tommy shared, "I had always wanted my Eagle Scout project to be involving charity because I wanted to know that my project would directly help individual people. My project, and more broadly my near decade spent in Cub and Boy Scouts, has helped me develop responsibility and organization––characteristics that will help me at Prep and beyond in the real world."
