February 18: Boland Hall Was Alive with the Sound of Music

Mr. Edward P. Donovan was at the school to give piano lessons to about ten students. The school at the time had two pianos, one of them, described as "large," was donated by the Visitation Sisters prior to the opening of school. A room on the 4th floor of the Main Building was designated for private piano practice.

February 21: Prep Player Outscores Entire Gonzaga Basketball Team.

The New Prep's 1st team basketball squad struggled throughout most of the 1919-1920 season, suffering two losses to Gonzaga on January 10 and February 11. But the New Prep's fortunes turned around in mid-February as the team began to play together more cohesively. On Saturday, February 21, at the Prep gym, the Newpreps took revenge on their tormentors from I Street in a well played 22-8 upset victory over the Eagles. With six baskets, Prep's right guard, Ernest Doelger, scored more points than the entire Gonzaga team combined.

February 22: (First Sunday of Lent – No Afterglow of Victory)

A sign was posted in the dormitory regarding lateness to class. It read: "5% taken off each subject missed. One may make up for absences but cannot regain more than 3%."
