Five Prep Student-Athletes Earn Fall All-Met Honors

Congratulations to the members of Georgetown Prep's football and soccer teams who earned All-Met honors from The Washington Post for their outstanding play this fall.

Georgetown Prep's varsity football team won the 2019 Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) title on November 9 with a 22-16 victory over Bullis School. In I.A.C. conference play, the Hoyas' defense only allowed 51 points from opponents in five games and the Prep offense scored 125 points. Prep finished the season with an 8-2 record and 5-0 in the I.A.C. Prep is ranked #8 in the latest Washington Post's high school football poll. Prep running back Jalen Hampton '20 was named the 2019 Player of the Year. Jack Plank '20 was named the I.A.C. Defensive Player of the Year.

Prep's varsity soccer team finished second in the Interstate Athletic Conference (I.A.C.) regular season. The Hoyas finished their I.A.C. regular season with a 6-2-2 record. In the I.A.C. championship, Prep lost to St. Albans, 1-0. The Hoyas finished their 2019 season with a 12-2-5 record. Prep is ranked #9 in the latest Washington Post's high school soccer poll. Colton Ward '20 was named the I.A.C.'s co-Player of the Year.

  • Patrick Donovan-Jenkins '20, second-team
  • Jack Plank '20, honorable mention

Soccer

  • Colton Ward '20, second-team
  • Daniel Schehl '20, honorable mention
