Cory Angel '18 (left) and Rollin Bell '18 were recently named semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), approximately 1.6 million entrants from more than 22,000 high schools entered the 2018 National Merit Scholarship program by taking the Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). Roughly 16,000 students qualified as semifinalists. To qualify as a semifinalist, a student must exhibit an exemplary academic record, submit a scholarship application, and earn a qualifying score on the SAT.
